The Duchess

Keira Knightley is doing it again, the period dramas. She is back to playing an 18th century costume drama where she plays 18th century English socialite GEORGIANA SPENCER.

The actress, who has donned period costume after period costume in films like "Pirates of The Caribbean," "Pride & Prejudice" and "Atonement," will team up with director Ralph Fiennes for The Duchess.

Spencer, The Duchess of Devonshire, was renowned for her extravagances, a gambling addiction and her part in the French Revolution.The life of the Duchess was full of so much of substance that the stroyline of the film did not have much space for many of scandals attributed with her life. The actress says, "We didn't have the budget to go to the French Revolution. You could make five films out of her life.
